My sister-in-law wants to move into a new home that has a good neighborhood near a skill for her kids, but she hasn’t had much luck in her search so far. I’ll be sure to mention to her that utilizing the knowledge of any local realtors could prove helpful since they have local knowledge of neighborhood locations and conditions.

I agree that you want to take your time when you are choosing a realtor to list your home. It would make sense to hire someone only after you have researched them properly. One place to look for information about them could be the BBB as well.

We have been looking into hiring a real estate agent to sell our home as well as help us find our next house and we haven’t been sure about where to get started. I liked that you had mentioned that it’s important that you like the personality of your real estate agent because they’ll be representing you and you’ll want someone people can trust. Personality isn’t something I had thought to look for, but I guess when it comes down to it, people are more willing to buy if they like the person they’re working with, I’ll keep this in mind when searching for an agent.

I like your point about how the agent that you choose should have an honest personality. My brother is looking to put his home for sale but wants a friendly professional that can help that process go a lot smoother. I think I will encourage him to do his homework about each agent and meet them in person before making a final decision.

Your suggestion to look for a local realtor makes a lot of sense. A local realtor will know the nuances of each market. My parents are thinking of moving closer to my father’s work to cut down on their commute. I’ll let them know they should look for a local realtor so they can find how their perfect home.

Personally, I think personality is one of the most important factors in choosing the right real estate agent. They don’t just have to be business minded, they also have to value the intent and interest of their client. If I were a first time home buyer, I’d look for an agent who will listen to my needs and is willing to help me in acquiring it. Thanks for the article. I enjoyed it.

It was great how you said that when choosing a listing agent, it’s best to go for someone who has successfully sold a lot of homes in my neighborhood because that would mean that he owns a great track record. I’ll definitely keep that in mind because I am in need of a listing agent to help me sell my house. Next year, I will be moving in with my parents again. Since the house that I am using won’t have any occupant, I’ve decided to just make money out of it. Thanks for sharing. I’ll take note of it.
